A mid-size business looking for an administrative staffing firm, contacted Invero Staffing to discuss an upcoming maternity leave staff absence. The role required a qualified, experienced, administrative assistant to cover the position for a period of six months. Because of the extended amount of time the person filling the temp position was expected to work, the client wanted to make certain that any candidate would be a good fit for the team. During our interview, we determined that the successful candidate would need to have exceptional skills with Word and Excel. We also discussed the work environment and company culture.


Our administrative staffing specialist tapped our network looking for three major criteria. We searched for at least five years of administrative assistant experience in a mid-size or larger organization, superb Word and Excel skills, and a six-month availability. We found three that were good fits, but one had truly exceptional scores on both Word and Excel assessment tests.
